Electric Clinostat - Control the Effects of Gravity & Light (Geotropism & Heliotropism) on Plant Growth - Eisco Labs

$0.00
  • CONTROL EXPERIMENTAL CONDITIONS || The Clinostat exposes, modifies, or negates the effects of gravity (geotropism) and light (heliotropism) on plants, permitting examination of growth and behavior over extended periods of time
  • 4 REVOLUTIONS PER HOUR || The electric motor-powered Clinostat platform rotates four revolutions per hour for even exposure to sunlight and gravity
  • VERSATILE POSITIONING || Spindle-mounted motor housing can be pivoted on its base and clamped into a fixed position to point plants towards a source of external stimuli
  • PROTECTIVE ACRYLIC COVER || Features an acrylic cover for protecting seedlings and retaining moisture
  • STURDY CONSTRUCTION || Features metal housing to protect the motor components, and a sturdy steel base with no-slip rubber feet for providing stability and traction

This premium quality Clinostat is an essential tool for the study of heliotropism and geotropism. It consists of a motorised disc that can support and protect small plants, seeds or cuttings while they are slowly rotated at four revolutions per hour for even exposure to sunlight, gravity, or other external stimuli. The motor is spindle mounted and can be clamped at any angle between horizontal and vertical. Plants are pinned to a cork pad fixed to the disc with cotton wool soaked with water for moisture. A removable acrylic cover fits over the platform, permitting examination of growth and behavior over time. Includes instructions.

110/120V AC, 60Hz, with 6ft 5" detachable power cord. Platform chamber size (with cover): 4" diameter x 3.5"H. Overall size: 6.25"L x 5"W x 11.5"H
