  • SOLAR ENERGY || When concentrated with a concave mirror, the sun's focused light can heat a small furnace. This kit is an ideal classroom demonstration of solar energy.
  • EASY TO USE || To function appropriately as a solar furnace, the system must be aligned to focus the solar rays onto the cup. As the earth spins, the spot on the cup will move and eventually no longer hit the cup. Simply realign the mirror system to keep the solar rays heating the copper cup.
  • SAFETY & HANDLING || Do not stare at the bright spot of the focused solar rays for a prolonged time, and avoid touching the copper cup once it is hot. Be sure to allow the copper cup and its contents to cool before handling.
